General Description:

The 39' CHB Sundeck Trawler - "Prelude" - was built by Chien Hwa Boat Mfg. in Taiwan. It has twin diesel Ford Lehman Engines at 120 HP each and Velvet Drive transmissions. Engines have just over 1400 hours. This lovely Fiberglass hull boat is accented with teak throughout.

Prelude sleeps 7. It has two large staterooms, each with its own head. The Aft Stateroom has a full bath with tub and Lectra San treatment head, two double berths, TV + sound system. The Aft stateroom walls were totally rebuilt and insulated in 2000. Galley insulation was completed in 2003. Custom Flybridge Canvas enclosure was installed in 2000, Teak paneling in the Main Salon and Master Stateroom were installed in 2001. The forward Stateroom has two single berths, a head with shower + two hanging lockers. V berth with private head down forward, up three steps to salon with galley, built in "L" shaped settee (new cushions on settee!), lower helm station and two sliding doors to decks. Down aft to master stateroom with offset double, head with showers and private access to aft deck. The Galley has a 4 burner LP stove with oven, pressure water to a stainless steel sink plus a microwave oven. Note spacious interior with 6' -5" headroom.

The 1978 CHB boat has a new Westerbeke 3KW Diesel Gen Set that needs to be commissioned. Generator set is located forward of the Lehman Engines in the Engine Room. All controls for the gen-set are installed and conveniently located adjacent to the Circuit Breaker panel adjacent to the Main Helm. A "Vigil" 1500 Watt Inverter (needs installation) is also aboard. At the Helm are: Auto pilot, Radar, VHF + CB Radio's, Depth Sounders, Compasses, gages and controls. A 35 amp Battery Charger, Lectra San waste treatment system, water pressure system and hot water tank are located adjacent to the generator set in the engine room.

The boat needs bright work renovation and rail attention with some mast repair. All in all, the boat is a fine cruising vessel. A 2004 survey is available for review at your request. Estimated Fair Market Value by Surveyor at time of Survey $105,000. The boat is located at Salmon Bay Marina (Seattle, WA) in a covered moorage slip. The slip may be transferred to the new boat owner.
