TIMING IS CRITICAL WHEN DEALING WITH A FIRE ONBOARD

The first few seconds are critical in the suppression of a fire onboard, especially in areas that are difficult to reach. To help a boater protect his investment, Sea-Fire now offers its Stinger FT Series FM-200 fire suppression systems.
Designed for critical areas
in need of fire protection, such as bow thrusters, ge
nerator
and small electrical enclosures, consoles and fuel storage spaces, Stinger FT
systems feature a unique method of extinguishant release.
They incorporate high-tech polymer tubing that ruptures when the proximal
temperatures rises above 175°F. The
rupture forms a small nozzle that directs the FM-200 agent at the source of the
fire. The tubing is durable,
leak-resistant, flexible and temperature-sensitive.
It responds quickly to temperature increases and provides rapid,
effective fire suppression.
Stinger FT systems are easy to install, require minimal space and need no power for activation. Because they use FM-200, the most widely available clean agent in use today, there is no residue cleanup after discharge.
Each model in the Stinger series is designed to protect a specific volume of compartment, so interested parties should contact Sea-Fire for the correct size. All systems include cylinder mounting bracket, two bulkhead adapters, six tubing mounting brackets and an installation manual.
The price of the FT-25A, which covers 25 cubic feet, is $525.
