PORT WINDOWS NOW STAY OPEN ON THEIR OWN!

When a conventional port window is opened for fresh air, it normally requires a hanger or some other method to keep it open.  New Found Metals has designed an effective solution that is now available on most of its units—including the new Tri-Matrix self-sealing port.

Auto-release torsion springs, made of 304 stainless steel, are installed on the upper hinges of the port's frame.  When the window latches are released, the port automatically opens initially to only a 45-degree angle—and stays there.  This unique safety feature eliminates the possibility of the port rapidly opening to a fully-open position.

The port can be adjusted further by hand to any desired opening.  If only a slight vent is required, such as during a storm, one or both of the cam dogs can be set to secure the window from opening automatically.

In addition to New Found Metals' self-sealing Tri-Matrix port, most of the company's stainless ports also include auto-release springs as standard equipment.
