ALARM TAKES JUGGLING ACT OUT OF BILGE MONITORING
Even the world's best captains don’t have eyes in the back of their heads. So how do they spot danger in the bilge at a
moment's
notice? Very simply, of course - with
the latest multi-bilge alarm system from Water Witch Inc. of
San California.
The WW600 Multi-Bilge High Water Alert system with Inteli-Mute is designed to warn captains of trouble in the bilge before it's too late. The system's information panel features both audible and visual alarms capable of monitoring up to six separate compartments simultaneously. It's also the only multiple bilge monitoring panel on the market to incorporate an intelligent mute button.
In a display roughly the size of a 3" x 5" index card, the WW600 is fabricated with a built-in, stainless internal piezo buzzer. The unit's raised, backlit buttons allow the illuminated LED indicators to be seen from every angle on the boat. And Water Witch's alert system meets and exceeds all United States Coast Guard requirements concerning high-level bilge alarms.
As an added special feature, the WW600 Inteli-Mute function ensures the alarm's mute button cannot be accidentally left on or simply ignored. Once activated, Inteli-Mute silences the audible alarm but leaves the back-lit mute button flashing as a visual reminder. If after five minutes the button continues to flash, Inteli-Mute turns off the silence feature and reactivates the audible alarm to warn captain and crew of a possible emergency onboard.
For more than 16 years, Water Witch has been a worldwide leader and supplier of electronic bilge controls, including bilge counters, switches, monitors and alarms.
The WW600 weighs in at just under 12 ounces with a 12VDC power requirement and is available in both black and white versions.
Suggested retail price of the WW600 is about $146. A chrome version is also available at additional cost.
