General
Description:
The Krogen 42 is one of the few
production trawler-style cruising yachts built on a full
displacement hull. As such, she displays all of the
characteristics normally associated with such long-range
designs including a comfortable ride, excellent
seaworthiness, and the easy rolling motion typical of any
soft-chined boat. The Krogen is a particularly salty-looking
vessel with a distinctive profile and an upright bow.
Inside, the focal point of the boat is the functional
pilothouse with watch berth located a few steps up from the
salon level. An extremely popular boat with experienced
cruisers, she's been the subject of constant refinements
over the years and remains one of the most sought-after
models on the used boat market.
Sleeps 6. The master stateroom is
forward with the head and shower in the bow, a double berth next
aft to starboard, a large hanging locker, bureau, drawer storage
and shelf space to port; there are six bronze ports with
screens, a hatch to the fore deck and two Dorade-type vents. The
guest stateroom is next aft to starboard with over and under
berths, a hanging locker and bureau storage. Opposite is the
guest/day head with shower, and the washer/dryer. Up three steps
to the main salon with L-shaped galley at the forward bulkhead
to starboard; and shelves to starboard. The salon is aft and
features 2 chairs and a couch. Forward and up three steps on the
port side to the pilothouse with instrumentation, watch
berth/settee combination, chart table, and 2 pilothouse doors
for great ventilation and access the fore deck.
